How to Distribute the Alternative Residue of an Estate

1. Open the Residue tab and select "Yes" under "Does the testator have an alternate residue?"

2. Click on the "Alternative Residue" tab.

3.  Double-click on the "Alternative Residue" node. From this point onward, the steps are the same as those used when adding a residue. 

Note: Double-clicking a node opens it in edit mode, allowing you to make changes. Single-clicking a node opens it in view mode, where you can review its details without editing.

4. You will be able to select one of the three residue distribution methods.

a) Outright Distribution

b) Formation of Trust

c) Division

Once you have completed the required information, click “Save and Close.”
