How to do an Outright Distribution for a residue

There are three methods of residue distribution: Outright Distribution, Formation of Trust, and Division.

An Outright Distribution is a residue distribution method where assets are distributed directly to the selected beneficiaries according to the terms set out in the will. Outright Distribution is a terminal node, meaning no further residue distributions can be added beneath it.

1. Add a residue and select "Outright Distribution".

2. Select your beneficiary and assign their priority.

Beneficiary priorities must be entered in numerical order. If the residue is to be divided equally among two or more beneficiaries, this will create a shared distribution.

If two or more beneficiaries are intended to receive the residue simultaneously, they must be assigned the same priority number. If beneficiaries are given different priority rankings (for example, Rank 1 and Rank 2), the Rank 2 beneficiary will only receive a share if the Rank 1 beneficiary is unable or not entitled to receive their share.
