You can generate a retainer agreement from within any matter!
You can generate a retainer agreement from within a matter as follows:
- Browse the Matter, click on Forms, and open the Retainer Agreement form
- Complete the Retainer Agreement form
- Retainer
- Lawyer - Select the lawyer working on the matter and indicate whether the lawyer will be delegating any work to others.
- Client - Clients referenced on the retainer agreement will be the clients of the matter.
- Instructions - Indicate whether the instructions will be received from the client(s) or a third party and whether you wish to use the Dropbox Sign integration
- Services
- Service Schedule - Select As per Service Schedule if you have already configured a service schedule containing the description of the service that you will be offering.
- Custom Description - Select Custom Description if you will be typing the description of the service that you will be offering on the form.
- Fees
- Legal Fees - Select how you will be charging for the service. Select As per fee schedule if you have already configured a fee schedule containing the details of the fees that you will be charging for the service.
- Initial Retainer - Select whether you intend to charge an initial retainer deposit and if so enter the amount and the terms for keeping the funds in trust.
- Due Date - Enter the due date for your fees as well as whether you intend to charge interest on outstanding accounts.
- Retainer
- Click on Generate documents at the top of the form
- Select the Retainer Agreement and click on Generate documents
- The generated retainer agreement will appear in the right pane
