What are Entries?
To create an invoice for a matter, you would first have to add entries to the matter
Entries consist of time entries, flat fee entries, and disbursement entries that appear on an Invoice.
Entries are added to a matter on the Matter Entries Page.
You can add 3 types of entries to a matter:
Time entries and flat fee entries represent legal fees that are added to an invoice. Time entries are meant to be added for matters that are charged on an hourly basis. Flat fee entries are added on matters where the client is charged on a flat fee basis, regardless of the amount of time it takes to complete the work. Disbursement entries represent out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the law firm on behalf of the clients. They are added to the invoices as in these circumstances, the law firm needs to be reimbursed for the expenses incurred.
