Upload bins are used to request, store and send documents.
Upload Bins are cloud-based containers for documents. Upload Bins in a Matter typically include the most important documents for that Matter Type. Nojumi has a default set of Upload Bins for every Matter Type. You are also able to add your own custom Upload Bins.
Upload Bins serve three distinct purposes:
- Upload Requests: Upload Bins serve as a tool to obtain documents from clients and third parties, quickly and efficiently, through upload links. As an example, if as part of a matter, you determine that you need to see a copy of the client's lease agreement, you simply send the client an Upload Bin named "Lease Agreement". When you share the Upload Bin, the recipient will receive a link containing an upload request for the requested documents, allowing the recipient to drag and drop into those upload areas or to simply upload the files from a cell phone.
- Communication Attachments: Upload Bins are accessible from communications allowing the communications to contain them as attachments. So in addition to allowing you to send upload requests, Upload Bins allow you to easily send the documents they contain through automated communications. Usually the final versions of documents are stored in Upload Bins and are sent to various parties through automated communications.
- Matter Checklist: Because Upload Bins typically consist of the most important documents in a Matter, they act as a document checklist for the matter. For example, if 32 documents are required for a transaction to close, through the Upload Bins you will be able to easily tell which documents have been received an uploaded and which are outstanding. You can also have Nojumi follow up with the responsible parties for the missing documents.
