How to add beneficiaries in a matter

A beneficiary is a person, corporation, or charity that is designated to receive assets, property, or benefits from an estate or legal document.

There are three ways to add a beneficiary, they can be added as an individual, corporation, or charity.

1) Individual as a Beneficiary 

a) Open the Wills & POAs Form.

b) Click on "Parties" and add an individual.

c) Enter the relationship to the testator and, under “Role in Testator’s Documents,” select beneficiary.

2) Corporation as a Beneficiary

a) Open the Wills & POAs Form.

b) Click on "Parties" and add an corporation.

c) Enter the company into the search bar and, under “Role in Testator’s Documents,” select beneficiary.

3) Charity as a Beneficiary

a) Open the Wills & POAs Form.

b) Click on "Parties" and add an charity.

c) Enter the charity name and registration number and, under “Role in Testator’s Documents,” select beneficiary.
