Ghost Transactions
Ghost transactions are automatic system entries and do not require any action from the user.
What are Ghost Transactions
Ghost transactions are system-generated entries used by Nojumi to keep matter balances accurate when funds move between Trust and General accounts. These transactions do not represent real money leaving or entering a bank account and do not impact your financial statements.
Ghost transactions are automatically added to ensure the General account balance within a matter remains at zero going forward.
Ghost Withdrawals When Paying an Invoice
When a client invoice is paid using funds from Trust, the money is transferred from the Trust account to the General account. To keep the matter balances accurate, Nojumi automatically creates a ghost withdrawal transaction in the general account.
This is not a real withdrawal and does not affect your actual bank account or financial statements. It is simply a system-generated entry used to show that the funds were moved and to ensure the General account balance within the matter remains at zero.
Ghost Transactions When Paying Out of General
If a payment is made from the General account within a matter, Nojumi may create a ghost transaction to prevent the General account balance from becoming negative.
