Nojumi Drive allows you to organize a matter's documents into files and folders.
You can think about Nojumi Drive as the main folder where all of a matter's files and sub-folders are located.
Every matter has a Nojumi Drive page.
On the Nojumi Drive page, you can
- Create new folders and edit or delete existing folders
- Create new documents and spreadsheets, and edit or delete existing documents and spreadsheets
- Upload any documents from your local computer
How is Nojumi Drive different from other cloud storage services?
When you use an external cloud storage service, typically, you would have a main folder for your practice, with each client or matter having a sub-folder within the main folder. When you receive a new document that needs to be saved, you browse the main folder, navigate to the matter's folder, and drag and drop the file to the desired location.
The main flaw with this approach in a busy law practice is that soon you would end up with hundreds, if not thousands, of subfolders within the main folder, increasing the chance of mistakes by placing a document in the wrong matter or accidentally dragging and dropping a matter into an unrelated matter.
When you use Nojumi Drive, because it is located within the matter on Nojumi, there is no way its documents can ever be mixed with the documents of another matter.
Additionally, Nojumi Drive allows you to predefine a folder structure for each of your matter types to ensure all of those folders are created the moment you create a new matter of that type.
