Bank Feed Verification

Bank Feed Verification is a step that needs to be completed for every bank account every month to ensure that the bank feed in Nojumi is identical to what you see in your bank.

The bank feed for every bank account should be verified on a monthly basis. To verify the bank feed

  1. Under Accounting, click on Bank Accounts and select the bank account of interest
  2. Click on the Bank Feed tab
  3. Click on the Verify bank feed transactions button.
  4. On the bank feed verification page you will see a list of the months and for each month you would see the month end balance and whether the bank feed for that month has been verified.
  5. Look for a month where the bank feed has not been verified. Start with the oldest unverified month
  6. Click on the Verify button and on the page that appears
    1. Enter the month end balance as it appears in the bank and click on the Check balances button
    2. If the bank feed data appears correct, you will receive a notification confirming this. In this case, click on the Mark balance as verified button.
    3. If the bank feed data appears to be incorrect, you will receive a notification and will be asked to upload the CSV for the month. Upload the CSV here. Note that if your CSV contains more data, it won't cause any issues as we only look at the transactions for the subject month. So to make it easier, if you are verifying the feed for a number of months, you can get a CSV for the whole period and use it as part of the verification process for each month.
    4. You will then be shown the transactions that appear to be missing or extra and will be given the option to add or delete them.
